APPEALS AND COMPLAINTS
1.Objective
This procedure details the process for handling appeal received against the decisions of the SIMSKYGREEN verification team.
2.Definitions
APPEAL: request from the aircraft operator to reconsider any action or inaction of a verification body directly related to its status as a verifier. Such a decision could be:

a request for corrective action;

any other action affecting the verification statement.
APPELANT: An aircraft operator or interested party registering an appeal.
3.How to submit an appeal

Appeals must be received by SIMSKYGREEN within 30 days of the notification to the aircraft operator of the adverse decision by an SIMSKYGREEN verification team. The appeal shall:

specify the reasons for the appeal;

be accompanied by the relevant documented evidence;

indicate what steps have been taken to resolve the issue prior to lodging the appeal.

Appeals are accepted by email, fax and registered mail or equivalent. Within five (5) days of receiving a call, SIMSKYGREEN sends a confirmation to the appellant that the appeal has been received.
